HI!

OMJ, this has been such a fun week. Not only sis I speak to Paul, Paddy(!) and SPENCER(!!!) but several thinga have happened...

First off, I sent an emale to the dude that runs the Student Skills module, informing him that I had issues at home and couldn't concentrate on the work (which is about 85% true) and he said it was alright. So YAY!

Also, I met someone new and awesome. Who loves 24, and Foo, and Spaced, and generally cool shit. YEAH.

Erm... STUFF. :)

This weekend has been okay. Work went past pretty quick yesterday and last night was fairly great.

Man, this cheese pizza is good.

Anyway, the barbecue went about as well as expected. Just about everything that I thought would (or wouldn't happen) did and it was just good to hang out with some of my best friends. A few key members of the posse were missing, but they all had good reasons for not coming (work, meals, prior engagements etc). Headed out afterwards as well. I probably should have had it during the week, but I wanted to say cheerio to Bob and Claire before they left. There's soooo much drink left, however, and I'm planning on making a start on it tomorrow.

Work called last night, wondering why I wasn't in. It's not my fault they don't tell me that I'm not off on holiday. I could have gone in today and tomorrow, and had something to do, but I really couldn't be arsed and none of my work stuff is clean anyway.

I've decided that my hair has become shit once more and I'm gonna get it cut on Tuesday (barber's is closed on Monday). Thinking I might pick up some hair dye for the hell of it.

Gonna have a quiet night in and maybe write some new shit as I'm feeling particularly creative. Aye.

I've had a strange couple of days. I mean that in a (potentially) good way though.

The training thing was basically a motivational speaking course. I've been to a couple of these things before, and they'd never had an effect on me until now. I mean, I felt really quite positive when I was finished today. I heard some nice things about me and a couple of constructive criticisms of my attitude (ie that I'm far, far too laid back - which I knew already - and sometimes it looks like I'm not interested in things even though I am), which I took on board and will try to work on. Hell, I even got a compliment on my "gorgeous" eyes. This made me happy on the inside.

Until I got home, that is. The course finished about half an hour late, and after me and Mum dropped off Rachel, we didn't get back till an hour after it was over. Thus, Dad was pissed off at me because we were late and he wasn't able to get his tea until we got back. Now, for one thing, it wasn't my fault we were late. Secondly, anytime we're all at home, we all eat together, but it's not a problem when one of us isn't there for whatever reason. Now this really bugged me because he seemed to be taking it out on me and I ended up leaving the table for a minute to cool down - something I never do. This was about 3 hours ago and I haven't talked to him since.

I ended up sitting in the garden for an hour or so afterwards, just thinking over things. I called Nicola and talked for like 15 minutes. She said that during my call to her from T, I'd said some rather bizarre things, to which I replied that I didn't want to know ever what they were. Now, I get the feeling what I'd said might have offended her or something because when we were out on Saturday, she was acting a little different towards me. Add that to the fact that I've been trying to arrange a trip (no, not a date) to the cinema for me and her. She's busy tomorrow and Friday, I'm going out on Saturday and she seems to be going up to Aberdeen for no apparent reason on Sunday. I honestly have no idea what to think, and I don't know if chasing after her is such a good idea after all.

Actually, I forgot to mention that I had a random visit from Jo on Friday. Man, it was great to see her, but still a shock at the same time. I mean, I hadn't seen her in months and she and her friend randomly call and say they're coming up as they were in town. It was great shooting the breeze with her and Lee again, seeign as it had been so long. Fast forward to tonight and I've just been talking to her. We were both bitching about the fact that we were single, yet didn't know if we wanted to stay that way or not. Add that to the fact that we both would have loved to get together all those months ago, hadn't it been for the fact that she wasn't ready and that neither of us have still ruled it out happening ever. I don't think anything will happen right now, but shit, I want it to. It's all so confusing. Hey, it's 4 months ago!

My 15 year old sister has decided to head to Glasgow (about 100 miles away) with a couple of friends, without telling any of us. It wasn't exactly hard to figure it all out though, as she's been going on about a Net friend (her Net boyfriend I think) for over a year. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't see one thing wrong with relationships that have started through the Net, but the fact of the matter is that she's 15, and she didn't tell any of us what she was doing. We got up this morning and said that she was gone. She left a note saying that her friend's mum was taking them out for lunch and they were staying in town, heading to a McDonald's for dinner and coming home later on tonight. Now, when we phoned said friend's home, her mum was in, and said that her daughter had left at 9am. We didn't ask about the lunch thing. We managed to get through to her other friend's phone, and told her to be home within half an hour, not a problem if you're in town. She said that she couldn't. Also, Mum said that she heard a TV in the background. There's no way she's in a McDonalds in town. Now, I can understand teenage crushes and all that, but this is way, way too far. I deleted her computer account, as my parents asked me to. She's getting her phone taken off her and she'll be grounded until Christmas, with no pocket money.

We're all totally scared about where she is and what she's doing. I mean, she's not the kind of person to ever do such a thing, disappearing at 9 in the morning and coming home 12 hours later, but she will drop everything to go off with her friends. I'm terrified that she might have some sort of backlash reaction to all this. I mean, what if she runs away from home or anything? Maybe I'm overreacting a bit, but I'm so fucking scared. None of the other shit that's happened to me or gone on with me recently seems to matter one bit.

I've just found out that she might have stayed through there last Saturday when she was supposed to be at one of the friends' she's with today. We're just waiting to find out.

Well, she WAS in Glasgow today AND last Saturday. She didn't stay overnight though. She's been told the consequences of what's happened. No computer, no phone (mobile or otherwise), grounded until Christmas at the very least, no money for anything.

She used her BIRTHDAY money to pay for the bus through and home again. I'm sure her aunts will be delighted to find that out. So she's not getting money for any birthday, Christmas etc again until we can trust her.

I'm just glad she's home.

I think she's starting to feel the consequences already. Her school is off for the next 2 weeks, so she's been stuck in the house all day doing nothing. She's been watching videos all day. I'm gonna ask my parents if she can meet me in town tomorrow afternoon, so I can maybe get her a library book or something. I'd much rather she was reading than just watching TV for the next week.

I think I'm gonna talk to her later tonight, see if she can understand things from our point of view. She's still going with the argument that she "knows" him. Now, I can totally relate, because I consider a lot of you guys to be good friends of mine, but the fact is that she was in an uncontrollable environment when they met, and there were 3 of them, whilst the guy had 3 friends with him. You just NEVER know though. I'd never say that I was against meeting people from the Net, as I have done and hope to do it again in the future, but the fact is that she is 15, was in a city she's not familiar with, and ANYTHING could have happened.

The guy's 16, so he should know better as well than to meet a stranger. There's no way he'll be hearing from her for a long time though.

Mum was really worried about a backlash. She called twice today from work to make sure everything was okay, and she's going to do it againg tomorrow and Wednesday. I'll be here most of Thursday and Friday, so it's not as much of an issue. Mum was really worried that she'd do something stupid, but she's not the kind of person that would, I don't think. At least not without encouragement from friends.

I'm totally needing a new job. I hate getting paid £3.80 (70p below minimum wage) and getting a 15 minute break for a 9 hour shift.

I'm totally nervous about something. That's right. Me. Nervous. Who'd have thunk it?

I'm sooooo looking forward to tomorrow night. All signs so far point the right way. I've just gotta get things organized today and make sure that it's all still happening. There was a minor (hopefully) complication that arose yesterday, but I've reassured myself that it all should be okay.

I love talking cryptically/vaguely in my LJ so that generative advice can be given to me <3

I need more LJ friends. I love reading about real people. :)

Hello to you.

I am loving this place. It is so cheap and laid back that it is unreal. I can totally see myself living here. Well, not here, but in this country. Right here is too far away from stuff if you are car-less. But it is seriously fucking awesome.

Also, I really, really want to start my own buisness. The idea came to me like a flash today, and there's a serious market back home for what I have in mind. Especially with everything becoming more Americanized by the day. I think it really could work. I've been trying to figure out some of the logistics in my head all day, but obviously it would take some time to think about them all. There's even a place that you can go to for advice on staring a small business. It would seriously fucking rule so much.

Today, I went fishing. It was great. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was just as its been since April 1st. Absolutely perfect. Barely a cloud in the sky.

Dad caught a shark!!! But put it back, because it was crap.

Heh.

Also, my trainer socks don't fit. As I only have 3 normal pairs of socks, this makes for a slight clothing disaster. Yikes!

This will probably be the time I post for a while.

As of 4am on Sunday, I will not be at home for almost 3 weeks. During that time, I'll be undertaking my world tour of Vancouver and Toronto.

I have no idea if I'll be on tomorrow at all, hence my farewell entry being posted now.

When I do return, it shall be with visual gifts for you all in the form of several digital photogrphs, many taken at least at one megapixel, for outstanding quality. If you all are lucky (ha!), I may also make a short movie.

I shall most probably still be available though e-mail, if any of you so happen to need me.

About half the people in the place had my hat on at one point or another. A total hit (and masterstroke, may I add).

Um... Basketcase, Halo, Breakout, Flesh Into Gear, Four Corners, Millionaire, Song For The Dead, Enter Sandman, Duality, Danger! High Voltage, If You Want Blood (You Got It) and many, many more kick ass songs were played. The DJ now KNOWS.

We ended up talking to some random people (shock, horror for a bunch of allegedly shy folks). Including some cool Sweedish/Belgian girl, a person with a boxers nose, someone who knows someone that I used to work with and stuff.

Myself and Murphy now have stuff that we can hold over Dave for a long, long time. Subtle hints, much piss-taking and mild extortion shall be the order of the day. BOO YA!
